2007 Aprilia Rxv 550, Don't pass up this chance to own this rare Italian exotic dirt motorcycle. The RXV (imported only in 07-09.), is one of the most powerful enduro machines every made. With 70bhp from its 550 V-twin power plant, there are few bikes out there that can match its performance. Weighing in at 268lb dry, its within 10lbs of the more mundane enduros like a KTM 500, 525, 530 EXC, or Yamaha WR450 but with significantly more power. This bike is also plated and is a blast to ride on the road, a must for hooking together interrupted sections of dirt. Best of all, this bike is fuel injected, no more re-jetting, or adjusting needles as you ride from the valley floor to the top of the highest western peaks (Ive ridden up to 11,000 with flawless fueling). And the RXV features electric start (the happy button is wonderful). This bike is expertly setup for enduro and is in need of nothing. Race Bradley Smith at any MotoGP venue
Tue, 02 Feb 2010BRITISH RACING ace Bradley Smith has helped launch the new Capcom MotoGP 09/10 video game, at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Aspar Aprilia rider took on several journalists in a series of grand prix races featured on the new game. A new Tissot MotoGP watch was awarded to the journalist who beat Bradley, on time in a three lap race at the Mugello circuit in Italy, where Bradley won his second grand prix of the season last year. "It's a brilliant game not only for the racing at all the MotoGP venues, including the new circuits at the Balatonring in Hungary and Silverstone in England, but all aspects of grand prix racing including sponsorship, livery and PR," explained Smith who was joined by fellow British riders Scott Redding and Danny Webb, at the launch which was held at the prestigious BRDC suite at the Silverstone circuit, that will host the British Grand Prix this year. "There were some serious game players, there and I'm glad I don't have to meet them out on the track."

Fri, 27 Jul 2012The Piaggio Group reported a 4.8% drop in motorcycle and scooter sales over the first half of 2012 thanks to the continuing struggles of the European economy. The Piaggio Group includes the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa. According to the company’s second quarter report, the Piaggio Group sold 216,700 motorcycles and scooters in the first half of 2012, compared to 227,700 units in 2011.
