I am selling a 2103 Aprilia SR 50 Factory Ditect 50cc Scooter with some engine work. I had the motor rebuilt to 70cc and added a lot of other little goodies to go with that to help it run better and it does. It was done by High Gain Tuning who specializes in these scooters. The web site is highgaintuning.com. I have attached a list of what was done. This is one of the most hi-tect racing scooters in the the world with both front and rear disk brakes, active digital instrument panel with a analog rev counter and a large LCD display for fuel level, coolant temp, clock, odometer, dual trip counters, journey time, maximum speed and complete diagnostic system. It weights 203 lbs as it will 55mph. It will achieve 100 mpg around town. The advanced technology that Aprilia has developed in years of world championship racing is all concentrated in this amazing 50 cc scooter.

De Puniet, Espargaro to Ride Aprilia-powered Aspar CRT MotoGP Racebike

The Aspar racing team announced the signing of Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaró to compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship on a CRT racebike powered by Aprilia engines. De Puniet (pictured above with his Playboy model girlfriend Lauren Vickers) rode a mystery race bike for Aspar this week at a MotoGP test, believed to be a modified version of Aprilia‘s WSBK-spec RSV4 with MotoGP-issue Bridgestone tires and carbon brakes. CRT rules require the use of a prototype chassis, so the Aspar machine cannot use the RSV4′s chassis.

Max Biaggi won the opening race to the 2012 World Superbike Championship while defending champion Carlos Checa came back from a high-speed crash in the first race to win the second at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit. Reigning champion Checa of Althea Ducati had a stunning high-side crash while leading on the sixth lap of Race One. The WSBK paddock was already in shock with the death of 17-year-old Oscar McIntyre in the Superstock 600 race the day before but thankfully Checa was not seriously injured.
