A new project has urged me to put my 2008 SXV 550 up for sale. I have owned the bike for 2.5 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every second of owning it. The oil and gear box fluid has been changed every 3-400 miles. Within the past 500 miles I have replaced the sprag clutch, upgraded the starter to one from Rick's Motorsports Electrics and installed a new battery. The only other modifications to the bike are the Tusk D-Flex hand guards, Fast Bikes USA axle sliders, and an EVOTECH fender eliminator. This bike has NOT seen the track. WSBK: 2012 Moscow Results
Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
2014 Aprilia RSV4 WSBK Livery Revealed – The Silver Fireball
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Aprilia waited until just a few days before the start of the 2014 World Superbike Championship to reveal the livery on its RSV4 Superbike. Most of the other factory teams revealed their liveries weeks ago, but now that we’ve seen the “silver fireball” look the RSV4, we can say the wait was worth it. The new silver look replaces the predominantly red and black look used the past few seasons.
EICMA 2008: First Impressions

I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
