2003 F650 Dakar for sale...
Have owned this bike since 2008 or so and have had the periodic maintenance done by the BMW dealer for the period of time I have owned it. I have also recently replaced the fuel pump assembly. The bike was dropped by the previous owner and it came to me with non-standard foot pegs for the rear rider. Bike will come with Happy Trails panniers (Made in USA). I've used the bike mostly for touring and have installed highway pegs for this purpose on an aftermarket skid plate. Bike also has a Touratech center stand and the lower seat installed. The seat has a rust colored stain on it that I have been unable to remove. However, the stain has lightened considerably since I bought the bike. The windscreen was also damaged and repaired by the previous owner, but the repair is holding up nicely. In case you were wondering I am about 5'8" tall with a 30" inseam and the bike is about the tallest size I can handle. 30th Anniversary Edition BMW K1300S Announced for EICMA
Thu, 25 Oct 2012BMW announced it will mark the 30th anniversary of its K series with a special edition K1300S. The 2013 BMW K1300S “30 Jahre K-Modelle” will be presented at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy in a couple of weeks’ time. Though perhaps not as popular as BMW‘s R series boxer models, the K series served as a platform for a number of technologies that were either new for BMW or new for the motorcycle industry.
BMW Set Record with 115,215 Motorcycles Sold in 2013
Mon, 13 Jan 2014BMW continues to set sales records, announcing the sale of 115,215 motorcycles in 2013. This marks the third consecutive year of record sales, following the 106,358 motorcycles in 2012 and 104,286 motorcycles sold in 2011. We already knew BMW was going to have a banner year last month, when the German manufacturer passed its 2012 figures in just 11 months.

The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
