BMW F-Series description

2005 BMW F650GS DAKAR ABS

I have owned this bike for a few months,  I love the bike but plans have changed for our family so toys have to go.

It is the Dakar model so it has longer travel in the suspension than the regular GS model.

It has a twin spark Rotax motor that is fuel injected and liquid cooled single cylinder. It runs great, very reliable and gets awesome fuel mileage, 60+.

Previous owner took very good care of this motorcycle.  I have taken a picture of the excel spreadsheet of the maintenance that the previous owner had documented. Along with owners manual, maintenance manual and spare key.

It has an aftermarket headlight cover, Piaa lights and a larger WestCo glass mat battery which helps power accessories. Aftermarket foam grips for comfort and stock heated grips.

Included in the sale of this bike is a taller windshield and luggage rack.

The bike is set to stock height, I have a lowering link that will lower the bike 1 inch.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.

The solution to a pricey GPS mount

Wed, 26 Aug 2009

So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.
