Since purchase I had the bike painted professionaly and flawless in BMW red, brand new clutches and components, brand new rear shock , brake pads, and the bike has been running perfect and maintained. This MC is in need of nothing but a rider as a daily driver or weekender, I owned a lotta of bikes throughout my life, all models and styles, and I must say the bike has been one of the most dependable, smooth riding motorcycles ever, and the only reason for sale is moving. This marks the third consecutive year of record sales, following the 106,358 motorcycles in 2012 and 104,286 motorcycles sold in 2011. We already knew BMW was going to have a banner year last month, when the German manufacturer passed its 2012 figures in just 11 months.
BMW Announces Winners of “Ride of Your Life” Tour Contest
Wed, 19 Dec 2012BMW Motorrad announced the winners of its “Ride of Your Life” contest, giving five people the chance to travel on a worldwide tour on the new R1200GS. The five winners are Stephanie Rowe, a 25-year-old enduro racer who works in the motorcycle accessories industry in the U.K., Herbert Unger, a 50-year-old German metal worker, Alessio Cigolini, an Italian who loves riding through Tuscany, Salvador Echevarría, a 41-year-old businessman from Spain, and Stephane Gautronneau, a 39-year-old fashion photographer from France. The five winners were selected for their sense of adventure, ability to work as part of a team and physical fitness by a panel of celebrities including actors Adrian Brody, Rick Yune and Charley Boorman and Paris-Dakar winner Jutta Kleinschmidt.
