Barely broken in with only 17,300 miles as of this writing, the bike runs like a top and is what you would expect from one of the best all around bikes that BMW has ever produced. This is a "Low Seat" model that includes ABS Brakes, BMW Windscreen, Bosch Driving Lights, shaft drive, gear indicator & BMW factory bagsOverall the bike is in very good condition. Now that I have your attention I’ll clarify the above by saying that you can have, at some point, the new S1000RR literbike for a stated maximum of no more than $1,000 over the retail of what most of the Big Four will price their liter machines. This was undoubtedly the biggest news from BMW during the U.S.

BMW Recalls Several Models in Canada for Potential Fuel Leaks

Transport Canada has announced a recall on 18 BMW models across several model years spanning from 2005 to 2012 because of a risk of fuel leaks (the full list of models and model years is below). As of this posting, no recall has been announced for the U.S. but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently has an investigation open for a similar issue, potentially affecting 45,588 BMW motorcycles.

EICMA 2012: Bimota BB2 Concept Revealed with BMW S1000RR Engine

Bimota revealed a new concept sportbike at the 2012 EICMA Show equipped with a BMW S1000RR engine. The Bimota BB2 concept is the first product of a new partnership signed with BMW that would see the German manufacturer supply S1000RR engines for Bimota. The S1000RR engine has class-leading numbers, with the 172.4 hp we measured in our 2012 European Literbike Shootout a 10.4 hp advantage over any literbike we dyno’ed for that shootout or the Japanese Literbike Shootout.
