Up for sale is my extremely low mileage K1100RS. Nearly perfect condition, just a few scratches on the lower part of the fairing. Bike has never been dropped, wrecked, or damaged in any way. Color is a dark graphite gray, that has a deep metal flake that looks great in the sunlight. Original paint.
Best part is this bike is 100% mechanically. Truly needs nothing. All maintenance is up to date. Just last week I replaced all the rubber brake lines with Gaffer braided lines (not pictured). This was the only thing the bike needed. Brake fluid flush and bled with DOT4 fluid Comes with factory bags with aftermarket canvas liners. Tires (Dunlops) are good, although the rear is a little square shouldered from interstate miles. There is a Givi topbox rack on the back, and I do have a Givi topbox that fits it, but I'm planning on keeping it for my next bike. If you win and want the topbox we can discuss. Has the Fuel Plus mpg tracking accessory that was installed by BMW dealers back when these were new. Not much else to say, it's a 100% ready to go sport touring bike. I'll go out on a limb here, and say this may be the nicest K1100RS for sale anywhere right now. Dainese to Develop Airbag-Equipped Riding Gear for BMW; Technology Coming to BMW Motorcycles in 2015
Wed, 17 Jul 2013BMW announced a new joint project with Dainese that would develop a new line of rider equipment using the Italian company’s integrated airbag technology. The two companies will also be working on integrating the technology to BMW’s motorcycles. The new line will make use of Dainese’s D-Air technology developed by MotoGP racers such as Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
