BMW K-Series description

Here is a very nice clean K1200RS for sale.  Runs like new.  Currently has 24500 miles (and counting... I'm still riding... but not A LOT).  Very low miles for one of these engines.  Everything works as it should.  And YES, Hard Bags are included.

Here is what I have upgraded since I've had it:  New 1200GT seat (much like the "comfort" seat you can buy, but this one is heated... not wired in, as I didn't find it necessary), Clear turn lenses front and back, Progrip Gel Grips, New Battery beginning of last year, Nearly new tires - Michelin Pilot Road 2 (rear has less than 1K on it and front has less than 300 miles), Laminar Lip Windscreen (works great for added wind protection... I'm 6'1" - was not installed yet when I took pics of the bike), New Front Wheel Bearings this spring, Stainless Screw and Bolt Kit (nearly every visable screw or bolt is stainless).

Something I did to change the look is have some parts powdercoated.  I wanted it to be something nobody else has.  I had the wheels done in flat black.  Also did the muffler cap and luggage rack in High Temp black.  Had the rear passenger peg brackets and the luggage rack bracket done in a Candy Blue.  None of these parts NEEDED to be done... I just wanted to play with it.  I must say, I believe it looks sweet.

Any extras?  Why YES, and here is a rundown:  strap-down expandable Tankbag, a hook-on rear bag, Riders manual and Service & Tech Booklet, Bike Cover (has a hot exhaust hole, but does the trick), Schuberth S1 Helmet (looks like new - has built in flip down "sunglasses") - Size 61/XL/7 5/8, Black with Silver Piping BMW Motorrad Jacket - I'm not sure of the "name" of this, but the tag says it's model 239622 - years ago I wore a 44L suit coat and this fit me good back then - its a 3/4 length with vents down the arms, a couple extra K&N oil filters, I purchased an online service manual (I just need to find it).

There is some scuffing on the right side fairing.  Was like that when I got it from the previous owner.  He believed it was from his child scraping bike handlebars in the garage.  Sometimes tough to see, unless the sun is shining on it just right.  I couldn't catch it in pictures.  Just wanted potential buyers to be aware.  I hate being surprised by flaws when trying to buy something.  As far as I can tell, there are no other significant flaws in this motorcycle (mechanical OR cosmetic).

Just in case someone doesn't know exactly what this bike is or has, I'll give you a short rundown:  ABS with Servo-assisted (very little effort to apply, like power brakes to the max) brakes and partially integral system (apply front brake, and both brakes are applied... rear brake only engages rear).  Fuel-injected (no choke, just hit the button, and it always starts... not to mention the added power).  Heated Grips (2 settings).  Electronic Cruise Control (incredibly amazing for long trips or interstate riding... works just like the cruise in your car!).  2 setting adjustable windshieldAdjustable rear suspension.  Very comfortable bike to ride (even for longer distances).  Very fun to ride in the twistys.  Fuel mileage depends how you ride, but you'll get a minimum of 150miles on a tank.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want any additional pics of something specific.  Shipping is the complete responsibility of the buyer.  I would prefer someone to pick up personally.  $250 non-refundable deposit via Paypal required within 24hrs of auction end.  Pickup within 7 days.  If you are within 500 miles and having trouble finding a reasonable shipper, or simply can't make it here to pickup, let me know.  Maybe we can work something out.  If you wish to talk to me directly: (319) 2 9 zero - 4 5 zero 7
