Revered by many as one of the best BMW motorcycles ever made, this 2005 BMW K1200S is the best of Sport and Touring wrapped into one great bike. You can ride comfortably across the country and still hold your own in the canyons on the weekends. The bike is in great shape. It retailed for over $18,000 when new. It runs great and it has been maintained regularly. oil service and clutch are good. newer tires less then 500 miles,bran new battery and a $1000 OEM BMW hard shell expandable saddle bags. The bike has heated grips and the Electronic Suspension Adjustment, which allows the rider to adjust the suspension electronically. I also believe it has the BMW alarm, but I was not given the remote when I purchased the bike. The paint and body is in excellent condition. I am always getting complements on it and everyone often thinks it is a brand new bike. 2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS Announced
Tue, 03 Jul 2012BMW has updated its F800GS and introduced the F700GS which replaces the F650GS for the German manufacturer’s 2013 lineup. The 2013 BMW F800GS slots in under the R1200GS as the company’s mid-displacement adventure tourer while the F700GS is an entry-level model to the segment. Despite the nomenclature, both models are equipped with liquid-cooled and fuel-injected four-valve 798cc twin-cylinder engines, just like the 650.
Vines motorcycle scrappage
Fri, 17 Jul 2009Following this year’s earlier Budget announcement about the government’s car scrappage scheme, Vines of Guildford BMW has created a similar scheme for motorcycles. Bike owners with motorcycles bought five or more years ago will be given £1,000 off the list price of a new BMW motorcycle when using their old bike as a part-exchange*. Riders just need to ensure they have at least six months MOT left and the bike must be taxed with clear HPI. Just like the Government’s car scrappage scheme has been put in place to help drivers, and the car industry, through tough economic times, Vines of Guildford wanted to offer motorcyclists the same opportunity, to purchase a brand new BMW motorcycle with the benefit of the £1,000 part exchange. As well as enjoying this benefit on the purchase price of a new BMW bike, riders can also look forward to complimentary panniers with all new R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure models, and complimentary Zumo sat nav system with the new R1200RT until 30 Sept, plus access to BMW’s Select Finance options to get riders on their bikes straight away with the option to change their new bike every two to three years.
BMW Partners with India’s TVS Motor, Plans Sub-500cc Models
Mon, 08 Apr 2013BMW announced it has signed a long-term agreement with Indian manufacturer TVS Motor to develop and produce small-displacement motorcycles. The two companies have been in discussions for several months now, but alliance is only now official. Under the agreement, BMW and TVS will work together to develop a new model with an engine displacement smaller than 500cc.
