One owner, purchased new from BMW Motorcycles of Western Oregon. No known issues. No accidents or drops. BMW bag liners included. BMW flashing LED brake light added. Great tires. Battery is 4 years old. Has Corbin heated seats with back rest. The original factory heated seats are included. I have a matching Corbin Smuggler that is not included in this auction but is available separately. Has BMW Motorrad Navigator IV mounting system installed. GPS is not included in this auction but available separately. A direct plug-in charging port for a battery tender added next to accessory plug. Other items are Motolights and air horn, both powered through a Centech AP1 fuse panel located under rear seat. Nice bike, fast and fun. Ready to go. Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested
Fri, 19 Mar 2010Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.
BMW K1600GT Named International Bike of the Year 2011
Thu, 19 Jan 2012The BMW K1600GT has been voted International Bike of the Year 2011 by a panel of motorcycle magazine journalists representing 25 publications from around the world. The six-cylinder BMW K1600GT received a score of 41 points from the jury to top all contenders. Second place went to the Ducati Diavel at 32 points.
BMW Announces 2014 Model Updates and New K1600GT Sport
Thu, 11 Jul 2013BMW announced a new variant to its six-cylinder K-series and other small updates to returning 2014 models. The 2014 models were first revealed last weekend’s BMW Motorrad Days celebration but we now have full details on the updates. The new 2014 BMW K1600GT Sport is based on the existing K1600GT but adds a special Sakhir Orange/Black Storm Metallic paint job, black gloss-coated wheels, a shorter windscreen and a sportier seat design.
