BMW K-Series description

Hello, you are viewing my 2006 BMW K1200LT motorcycle. I am the second owner of this bike and it is in very good condition. I bought this bike from the original owner in 2010. At that time it had 23K miles on it. The original owner maintained this bike very well and so did I. I will describe this bike in full detail. If there is anything I miss or that is of importance to you please email me or call before placing a bid. Treat this auction serious. Do not bid unless you have the funds now and are ready to purchase. Lets began with the MECHANICS of this motorcycle. It has 34K original miles on it. This is low for this year and type of motorcycle it is. These are known to go easily 150K miles+. Oil has always been changed regularly. There are no mechanical issues at all. No leaks. All of the electrical components work proper. This bike has tons of features and options and they all work. If your not too familiar with this bike please google search it and see ll that it has to offer. This is a very comfortable, luxury, cruiser bike. Has brand new brakes and rotors with less that 50 miles on them, receipts included. Tires have at least 70% tread left. This is a very reliable, excellent running motorcycle that does not need any mechanical work. Now for the COSMETICS... This bike looks great and has never been down. Everything is in tact as it came new. The body is excellent, no damage. The original paint looks great. You may find a nick or scratch as you would with anything that had been exposed to outside elements. So please keep that in mind, however it looks very nice. (see pics). On the rear top, behind the seat, I have the rack that goes on it. I took off because I dont like the way it looks, but it is included. What you see, is what it is. A nice looking and excellent riding BMW K1200LT. Has a clean title in hand and registration current through 2017. TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Payment is due withing 72 hours of close, no exceptions. Please call me as soon as the auction closes to make arrangements for pick-up and payment. No paypal, unless you pay the fees. Cash, or cashiers check, or money order. 909 810 7501, feel free to call anytime. This is a no reserve auction, highest bid will win, GOOD LUCK!

BMW “Persistent Erection” Lawsuit Dismissed

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

The Superior Court of San Francisco has dismissed lawsuits against BMW and Corbin-Pacific Inc. brought on by a man who claimed a motorcycle ride gave him an erection that lasted for several months. The story made headlines and drew much ridicule after the man said vibrations from his 1993 BMW K1100RS and Corbin aftermarket seat resulted in a case of priapism, a condition in which a penis remains erect for a prolonged period of time.

Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested

Fri, 19 Mar 2010

Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.
