BMW K-Series description

After 6 years and 68,000 miles in which it endeared itself to me so much I'll say it's the best bike I've ridden. As time change and our riding changes so does our choice in bikes, that is why I'm selling her and going on to the Bmw K1600gtl. Sport days maybe over but sport riding can go on.

She has newer Michelin Road Pilot 4 tires with 1500 miles, clutch was replaced at 60k, clutch master and slave cyl also replaced. All recall items addressed at dealership along with normal services.

I have both side bag covers that are pictured (full and street) with top case.

Here some of her high lights and thought from other mag reviews.

Speed, comfort and freedom are the essence of Gran Turismo and the essence of the BMW K 1300 GT.

No other manufacturer comes close to BMW's options list, yet much is so useful it alone will swing buyers to the German badge. Most impressive is the Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA).

A simple dash display informs the rider whether it's set for any combination of solo, passenger and luggage, and with those set you can then choose between normal, sport and comfort options – all from one button, changing damping, spring preload and spring rate settings. I used it constantly

Cruise control, Xenon headlight (Certainly it lit up the road impressively),  heated seats, heated grips, More essential is the on-board computer, which has a range of useful or interesting functions, although the "distance to empty" calculation was inconsistent and mpg a little optimistic

S1000RR vs. Goodwood

Sat, 20 Mar 2010

And before you say it, no it's not "Start and finish a journey on two wheels without falling off." I rode up Goodwood's hill. And I did it on BMW's mighty S1000RR. Ok, so it wasn't infront of thousands of on-lookers and it wasn't at any great speed.

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
