BMW Other description

extremely rare 1982 Krauser MKM1000. One of only about 200 Krauser-built bikes produced during its two-year run, and one of only 13 machines imported into the USA by BMW of North America in 1982. Michael Krauser had a very close relationship with the BMW factory, and he sourced his R100RS mechanical components directly from them. The difference is that the Krauser-built bikes don't have a BMW vin, they have a Krauser vin on the engine, frame, trans & rear drive. The other important difference is that he then proceeded to wrap all these parts in a computer designed birdcage frame that was extremely light and rigid.

Chris Pfeiffer Plays Chicken on a BMW G450X Against a Bobsled [Video]

Tue, 28 Dec 2010

When I first saw this video, I thought it had to be a trick. Like the Gillette video of Roger Federer knocking a can off a man’s head with a tennis serve or the Nike ad with a couple of Dutch soccer players and an air vent, the first reaction is it has to be fake. But then I remember this is BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer we’re talking about here.

Ohlins Issues Recall Notice For BMW S1000RR And R1200R Steering Dampers

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Ohlins is issuing a recall notice for select aftermarket steering dampers for the BMW S1000RR and R1200R. The company believes the bracket holding the damper in place to be improperly machined, and a probable material defect in the aluminum alloy could cause stress fractures. Ohlins states that although “there is no risk for losing control during normal riding,” there is a risk the bracket will fail during slow-speed maneuvers, where the bars are turned at maximum steering angle.

BMW Engineers Considered V10 for i8 Sports Car

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

So as we know, the BMW i8 sports car is promising to be a real step forward when it comes to fuel efficient sports cars. Powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor, it promises acceleration times once only occupied by the highest level of supercars. However, was a three-cylinder engine always on BMW’s agenda?
