1998 BMW R Series R, Custom painted 1998 BMW R1100R in Laguna Seca blue with top case and color matched luggage. The bike has been completely gone through and runs perfectly. Recently cleaned the injectors and installed a new fuel filter and pump, in addition to a full service. Normally BMWs are set up for shorter people, this one is perfect if you are taller like me (6'+). US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

Brough Superior to Make Moto2 Debut at Silverstone

The Taylormade Brough Superior racebike will make its Moto2 racing debut at the British Grand Prix at the U.K.’s Silverstone circuit. Backed by insurance company Bennetts, the one-off entry will feature British Supersport racer Luke Mossey riding the Taylormade Carbon 2 racebike. Led by California-based but British-bred Paul Taylor and John Keogh, the Taylormade project was started to rethink the spark the impending relaunch of the Brough Superior brand as well as to explore new ways of designing prototype race machines.

THERE'S SOMETHING rather cruel about ringing the nuts out of any bike on a dyno - a bit like poking a lion through the bars of a cage with a long stick... Anyway, not quite sure where I'm going with that one, so here's a rather lovely clip of BMW's much-lauded S1000RR getting a stationary pasting on a dyno. Not sure I'd be standing at the rear, mind you.
