5812 S. Broadway I have a gorgeous metallic red BMW touring bike here. It has the full fairing that really blocks the wind. The BMW system cases are all 3 there. It runs good. It has only 42,XXX miles, but I will continue to ride it, so that will go up. This is the bike for the guy who stopped in last month and said he didn't like my BMW K1200 GT. He wanted an opposed twin. I still have the K bike for those who feel otherwise. Since this is my 4th BMW since last March, I get the feeling that I'm a frustrated BMW bike dealer. I love them too, but I'll part with these. I can be reached through craigslist email, but I don't check it as often as I should. There are also too many scammers using the email link. BMW Announces Winners of “Ride of Your Life” Tour Contest
Wed, 19 Dec 2012BMW Motorrad announced the winners of its “Ride of Your Life” contest, giving five people the chance to travel on a worldwide tour on the new R1200GS. The five winners are Stephanie Rowe, a 25-year-old enduro racer who works in the motorcycle accessories industry in the U.K., Herbert Unger, a 50-year-old German metal worker, Alessio Cigolini, an Italian who loves riding through Tuscany, Salvador Echevarrķa, a 41-year-old businessman from Spain, and Stephane Gautronneau, a 39-year-old fashion photographer from France. The five winners were selected for their sense of adventure, ability to work as part of a team and physical fitness by a panel of celebrities including actors Adrian Brody, Rick Yune and Charley Boorman and Paris-Dakar winner Jutta Kleinschmidt.
2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.
