2004 Bmw R 1150 GS Adventure, Low miles. Very clean. Runs like new. This bike has had very little off-road use. - BMW introduces the new R1150GS Adventure, a new variant of the R1150GS, aimed at off-road and long-distance travel. Changes to the new model include EVO brakes, increased suspension spring travel, a WP strut, braided steel hoses, ABS that can be turned on or off, a shorter sixth gear and a shorter first gear for the toughest terrain. The windscreen and the tank are also bigger. It also offers a wider range of purpose built accessories and fittings.

BMW Set Single Month Sales Record in April 2013 – New R1200GS Represents 27.7% of Sales Volume

BMW announced it set a new company all-time sales record for a single month, delivering 14,587 motorcycles to customers in April 2013. That represents an 11.5% increase from the 13,088 motorcycles sold in April 2012. The record month helped push BMW‘s overall sales over the first four months to 39,319 motorcycles and scooters, a 5.0% increase from the 13,088 units sold in the same period of 2012.

The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.

Drool-worthy new trials bike

THIS is the new Montesa Cota 4RT260 Factory, a sort of BMW HP4 of the trials world. Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.
