2004 BMW R Series GS, I am the original owner since fall 2003. Just bought a new R1200RT and won't have room for two bikes.Complete maintenance records. Always garaged. Most recent major service done at Bob's BMW. Synthetic oils since 6K. Extras include: Heated Gripes, ABS, Motolights, HyperLites in back, Oil Filler Plug, Magnetic Drain Plug, BMW GPS (Garmin Street Pilot III) and numerous Wunderlich upgrades including: Ergo Windscreen and Leg Protectors (great for colder weather riding), Oil Cooler Guard, Brake Lever Enlarger and Blue Air Filter. BMW Announces Record First Quarter 2012
Tue, 10 Apr 2012BMW announced it set a new record for first quarter motorcycle sales, surpassing the previous record by 5.5%. The German manufacturer sold 24,373 motorcycles in the first three months of 2012, outdoing the previous record of 23,109 units set last year. March accounted for more than half of BMW‘s first quarter sales, with customers scooping up 12,295 units over the month, up 5.3% from 11,675 units sold in March 2011.
EBR 1190 Wins 2011 European Superbike Championship
Wed, 02 Nov 2011Harald Kitsch and the Pegasus Race Team has won its second championship on the EBR 1190RR, capturing the 2011 European Superbike open race class title. The championship follows Kitsch’s win in the 2010 Sound of Thunder V-Twin Championship on the Erik Buell Racing racebike. While the Sound of Thunder championship was won against other V-Twin machines, the European Superbike class included sportbikes from the Japanese Big Four, BMW, Aprilia and Ducati.

Fri, 27 Apr 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced the recall for the 2012 BMW S1000RR, providing more information about the problem. According to documents released by NHTSA, the bolts on the connecting rods in the BMW S1000RR may come loose because of an anti-corrosive agent applied to the bolts. The anti-corrosive agent may effect the bolt torque, potentially leading them to come loose, particularly at high temperatures or rpms.
