The BMW F800GS is the smaller alternative to BMW's R1200GS top-selling dual-sport model. The F800GS is lighter in weight, ideal for the rider who prefers an easier to handle bike. It is powered by a parallel twin-cylinder 798cc engine that produces 85 bhp and 62 ft-lbs of torque. A rugged chain drive transfers power from the engine through a six-speed gearbox to the 17-inch aluminum rear wheel. The F800GS features an asymetrical headlight cluster and an under seat fuel tank. This Lava Orange Metallic / Black Satin 2010 F800GS is equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS), Heated Hand Grips, an Aluminum Skid Plate and an Aluminum Luggage Rack. It is also fitted with an XPC custom seat.

BSB Superstock Championship Winning BMW S1000RR Stolen
Mon, 26 Sep 2011British Superbike racer Richard Cooper’s BMW S1000RR racebike was stolen mere hours after winning the 2011 British national Superstock title. Thieves reportedly broke into the Buildbase BMW race team’s truck after it returned to the team’s base in Leicestershire, England, from the series-clinching round at Britain’s Silverstone circuit. According to the team, thieves optained the keys to a van holding Cooper’s winning motorcycle and Superbike class racer John Laverty’s BMW S1000RR Superbike.
2013 US Motorcycle Sales Data
Tue, 04 Feb 2014The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
BMW Bounces Back with Record August Sales
Thu, 06 Sep 2012When BMW released its second quarter report last month, the company reported a 4.2% decrease in BMW and Husqvarna motorcycle sales due mainly to a struggling European economy. The economic woes persist but BMW appears to be recovering, reporting a new sales record for the month of August. BMW reports sales of 7,400 motorcycles and scooters in August 2012, a company record for the month and an 11.3% increase from the 6,646 units sold in August 2011 and 14.7% more than the 6,405 units sold in August 2010.
