When we build a superbike, we have no time for second best. We now present the very latest in racing power. With an aluminum bridge, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colors and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance systems; the first genuine racing ABS, whose features include a front-wheel-only mode, dynamic traction control (DTC) which permits varying degrees of slip, depending on the lean angle. Never before was it so easy to keep so much power under control. This is just as true on public roads as it is down on the racetrack. 2014 BMW K1600GTL Exclusive Outed in CARB Documents
Mon, 23 Sep 2013Earlier this summer, BMW announced its 2014 six-cylinder K1600GT including a new variant called the K1600GT Sport. A new document released by the California Air Resources Board reveals the more luxurious K1600GTL may be getting its own special variant as well. CARB released a new executive order for its 2014 K16 models including the K1600GTL Exclusive alongside the regular K1600GTL and the K1600GT.
2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.
