The previous owner hardly ever rode the bike and it is just broken-in with only 698 miles. After taking the bike in on a trade, we had the 600 mile initial service done at the local BMW Motorrad dealer. It is all set for the next owner.

The S1000RR needs no introduction - with a 999cc engine and 193 horsepower, this super bike is just at home on the race track as it would be in your garage. BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development

BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.

BMW Concept Ninety Marks Motorrad’s 90th Anniversary and 40 Years of BMW R90S

BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.

Like the Gillette video of Roger Federer knocking a can off a man’s head with a tennis serve or the Nike ad with a couple of Dutch soccer players and an air vent, the first reaction is it has to be fake. But then I remember this is BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer we’re talking about here.
