2013 BMW R 1200 GS, 2013 HEXHEAD R1200GS (not the new water cooled GS) triple black edition. Currently has 4,800 miles. Twenty-six months remain on the factory warranty. This bike has never been off road, never dropped or crashed, has been used mostly for commuting and spends its days and nights in either my garage or indoor parking at work. The seat was swapped for the GSA saddle, but I can still easily flat-foot the bike. It is in immaculate condition. 2014 WSBK – Laguna Seca Results
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.
BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem
Thu, 13 Mar 2014BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.
