HELLA SPOTLIGHT SEARCH LAMP FOR PORSCHE 356 - VW BUS - BMW VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE Selling a complete Hella Spotlight. Everything is there, just needs some work. The bottom of the base needs repairing and the part that attaches to the mirror needs repairing. The good part, its all there. I was going to repair this and paint the light black. I've seen a lot of these lights that are done this way and they look great. A perfect condition Hella Spotlight can sell for over $1,000. You can pick this one up for a fraction of that. As you can see in the pictures, it is a real Hella Spotlight, you can see the stamp on top of the bezel. Maybe you have a Spotlight that needs some parts? With a little time and effort, this could make you a very nice accessory for your vintage Porsche, VW or BMW motorcycle. EICMA 2012: BMW F800GT Announced as Replacement for F800ST
Tue, 13 Nov 2012As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.
BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem
Thu, 13 Mar 2014BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.
BMW to Partner with India’s TVS Motor Company
Mon, 03 Dec 2012BMW is getting closer to signing a partnership agreement with India’s TVS Motor Company. The partnership, expected to be finalized before the end of March, would see TVS receive access to BMW technology while the German manufacturer would increase its footprint in the world’s second most-populated nation. TVS is one of India’s largest manufacturers but it has recently slipped to fourth from third behind Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda.
