BMW R-Series description

Up for Auction in a freshly restored / all serial numbers matching 1962 BMW R60/2. This motorcycle was disassembled down to every last nut and bolt. The engine was disassembled and replaced with new pistons,rings, all new seals , gaskets etc. The slingers were also cleaned at that time. The drives were also inspected and updated. The bikes frame was bead blasted and powder coated black. The fenders were in good shape and didn't require much work but were also repainted and striped. The gas tank was in excellent condition.  The rims are Weinmann. They were polished and respoked. The carburetors were disassembled, inspected and rebuilt. Everything on this bike was restored back to original specs. No expense was spared on the restoration. Whatever needed to be done was done. Please see the pictures of the original tool kit, owners manual and protective sleeve and most important is the orignial owners hand written service records which date back to the day of original purchase over 52 years ago! Amazing that these records exist and follow this bike.This restoration was completed by a mechanic who has years of restoration experience and has a passion for motorcycles.
