Great Condition, very reliable, Fairings , fenders and Gas Tank have been professionally custom painted red, White & Blue. Stars are under the Clear Coat. Beautifully Done. Includes Corbin Cafe Racer Seat. History said the top end was completely rebuilt at 24,420 (see picture) Includes original workshop manual. Also comes with hard bags (white) original mirrors and air filter box. Fun bike to ride. Starts right up, everything runs and works as it should. As with a bike this old , it is not perfect, but pretty close. I am selling because the garage is getting full, this is my 3rd, and I am picking up a 4th soon (BMW R90S) Deposit of $500.00 is due 48 hours after auction closes. How to destroy a GoPro
Wed, 14 Mar 2012That scraping sound you can hear is a mixture of a knee slider and the GoPro camera housing grazing the tarmac at Mugello. The footage was shot on-board the BMW Motorrad France Team Thevent machine ridden by Hugo Marchand, in testing ahead of the 2012 Endurance World Championship. He managed to wreck the housing that holds the GoPro camera after only three laps.
2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport Announced
Fri, 04 Jul 2014BMW announced a new special edition version of the K1300S equipped with some upgraded parts and a unique paint job. The 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport comes with a new Black Storm Metallic, Light White and Lupine Blue Metallic color scheme, with a bit of red striping for good measure. A band of black running across the top of the bike from nose to tank to tail is complemented by a tinted windscreen.
John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser
Fri, 03 May 2013Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.
