BMW R-Series description

This is your chance to own the world famous, award winning "Stealth Beemer" Featured in the BMW MOA magazine 8/'94.
I've owned it since 1985 and hate to see it go. But I just don't ride anymore and it deserves to be on the road gathering bugs and miles. Not tucked in the corner of the garage covered in dust and shame. 42,600 miles, Pichler full fairing, K-bags, R-90S bars, R-100RS rear shocks, Frank's forks, Russell "daylong" seat (custom reupholstered), Reynolds adjustable backrest, Mustang tank cover with pockets, handmade tank bag and mount, clearcoated wheels, "deer hunter" projector driving lights, extra brake light, aftermarket VDO clock and volt meter, also has an accessory plug, and the whole bike is outlined in Black reflective tape. It has been sitting in the corner of my garage for 6 years and has some surface rust on the forks and handlebars. But the tires (Metzler laser front and Continental rear) still hold air and are not dry rotted. (Tubeless tires with inner tubes). It starts, runs, drives, and stops. Some scratches and dents, as I used it for touring, not a concourse garage queen. It fell over in the driveway 6 years ago and cracked the windshield of the fairing (see picture) but the cylinder guards prevented any other damage. Comes with some spare parts including another set of mirrors and extra spare reflective tape. Also for sale, but not included, is my whole set of riding gear, that could go with it for the right additional price. KBB says the bike is worth $3,200 stock. Reserve set at $3001.
Located in Copley, Ohio.
Local pick up or delivery negotiable.
No warranty expressed, offered, or implied.

BMW have organised a UK rideout to the event and with over 200 places taken so far, time's running out to book your slot.

What’s New With CRP Electric Motorcycles?

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

CRP, the Italian company who made a splash last year when it announced it would make a production electric motorcycle, has been strangely quiet lately. With no news coming from the team in Modena, Italy, we wondered, what’s CRP been up to lately? While not much has been said publicly for months, CRP has been working feverishly behind the scenes to strengthen its staff.

Fisker + Lego = the Lauge Jensen Viking Cruiser Concept

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

What do you get when you bring together the designer of the Fisker Karma and the great-grandson of the founder of Lego? The answer is this cruiser concept model by Danish brand Lauge Jensen called the Viking. The company was formed in 2004 by bike builder Uffe Lauge Jensen but later sold to industrialist Anders Kirk Johansen, the scion of one of Denmark’s wealthiest families and great-grandson of Ole Kirk Christiansen who invented Lego building blocks.
