2004 BMW R1150 RT-P motorcycles that has been expertly maintained by BMW of Denver. Although dealer maintained mechanically, they have some cosmetic issues such as scratches on the bodywork.

Getting a sense of the clutch release point, brake feel, throttle response and riding position may all differ from what you have been accustomed, but they slowly become second nature after enough seat time is logged. BMW Reports Q2 2012 Results

BMW reported a 8.9% decrease in motorcycle sales revenue over the second quarter of 2012 but still managed a 1.3% increase over the first half. According to German manufacturer’s second quarter report, the BMW and Husqvarna combined for 410 million euros (US$507.7 million) in revenue over the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, a decrease from the 450 million euros reported in the same period last year. Revenues for the first half totaled 858 million euros (US$1.06 billion), a 1.3% year-over-year increase from 847 million euros.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
