Lightest four cylinder engine in the segment provides uncompromising power with output of 193 bhp and maximum torque of 83 foot pounds. The super-exclusive version of the S1000RR, like the Superleggera, features a power structure, carbon fiber empennage and wheels, as well as Öhlins forks, Brembo brakes and an Akrapovič exhaust system. The bike will be released in limited edition.

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. BMW S1000RR drag bike

Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.
