BMW r100 description

As much as I love this bike, I just don't get to ride much these days, so it's time for it to go to a new home. A great vintage BMW R100/7 Motorcycle. I've owned it for 6 years. Recently re-lubed, cleaned the rear brakes, and a brand new battery. Fires right up. Could use some slight adjustments but overall very good for a 40 year old bike.  Everything functions as it should. Fairly clean, not showroom quality but a nice presenter. Always stored in my garage.  If you have more questions let me know! Shipping is possible via one of the many freight companies, but much rather you see it in person. Bike is for sale locally and will end the auction if it sells.  More pictures and video of the bike can be seen here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskCLAFYL The bike is listed as is, no warranties or other implications applied. It's a vintage bike.

Bridgestone BT-023 tyre tested

Fri, 19 Mar 2010

Replacing the BT-021, the 023 has a uniform carcass construction but has two different compounds of rubber to alter its performance. The inner rubber is harder for increased life while the rubber on the tyre’s edges is softer for outright grip. On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.

We already knew BMW was going to have a banner year last month, when the German manufacturer passed its 2012 figures in just 11 months.
