BSA B441 Shooting Star description
Hi everyone up for auction is a 1968 BSA B441 Shooting Star for sale. The bike belongs to a personal friend of mine, I am in the possession of this bike to facilitate the sale. The bike is in absolutely excellent condition.
Over the last few years, the frame was stripped and repainted in glass black in oil and/gas resistant paint. New front and rear fenders, New reproduction seat. New controls, levers and cables. New exhaust system including muffler. 12 V Boyer conversion. Rebuilt and calibrated Smith Speedo. New vintage style reproduction tires that show very little wear. Additional work done in Spring of 2016: - engine removed, cases split, barrel removed, main bearings, piston and rings checked - Cleaned sludge trap, new seals throughout engine - new head gasket - checked valves- were in good condition. - new clutch basket and primary chain - new alternator rotor - new seals in gear box and new kickstart quadrant - new carb rebuilt kit installed - front forks totally rebuild- new stanchions, seals, gators - steering head inspected and repacked - new front rim installed and replaced - new battery Engine no:B44B 2174 SS Frame no: B25B 1448 A video of the bike running will be posted in a few days, well before the auction ends. As you can see lots of work was done to up-keep this bike in excellent condition. I have all receipts for work performed, history of the bike and manuals and books. The bike will be sold as is, where is and no warranty exchanges or refunds are applicable with this sale. Bike will not be sold or shipped without full payment. Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
