This item is being relisted due to a mutual decision to cancel the transaction. If you have zero feedback, a low number of
feedback, or no recent activity on ebay you must contact me prior to

sorry to require this, but there are a lot of fake bidders and time
wasters out there. It takes time and money to list an item and I want
all bidders to be legitimate. Payment is due within 5 days of the
auctions end, no exceptions. Bike must be picked up within 3 weeks of
auctions end.
This is a 1967 BSA Hornet project motorcycle. I do have a clear TN title in my name. The bike does not run and will need a complete rebuild. The motor does turn over and does have compression. The trans goes into all gears and the brakes work. It will need a full restoration. Most of the original parts are on the bike with the exception of the front fender, side covers, chainguard, and the energy transfer ignition. The 5 wire stator is still in the bike, but at some point it was converted to a battery system and used lights. The chrome is pitted. Fenders and pipes are available though. The rims have some pitting but look good for a rider and would be an excellent candidate for re-chroming.I am unsure if the tach works. The seat does have some holes but the pan seems solid. I have the cages and backs for the air filters. Other than that, what you see is what I have for the bike.
All in all its a bike worth saving. Hornets done correctly are demanding very good money. And the prices are rising every year. I have a few too many projects or this would not be for sale. If it does not sale locally or meet reserve I will move it to the corner and get to it in time. These are very cool and sought after bikes.
I have tried to take plenty of pictures to show all aspects of the bike. I dont want there to be any surprises. Please ask all questions before bidding. The bike does have a clear Tn title. The bike is being sold as is, where is with no warranty.
Shipping is the buyers responsibility, but I will work with the shipper of your choice in any way possible. Payment due by bank wire, cash in person, or cashiers check. Full payment due within 5 days and please contact me within 12 hours of winning bid to make arrangements for payment. All funds must clear my bank prior to bike or title being released. The bike must be picked up within 3 weeks of auctions end or a storage fee may apply. Please have an idea of the shipping cost and who youre going to use before you bid if you plan on having the bike shipped. $500 non refundable deposit due via paypal within 24 hours of auctions end.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer
Tue, 24 Mar 2009There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
