BSA Other description

This is a 1972 BSA 650 Lightning, Clear Title. ALL MATCHING NUMBERS . I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime.it is for sale locally.. the bike runs great. The bike sit for 20+ years in a garage when I got it. I pulled the cylinders to clean the motor out and I couldn't believe how clean it was. But the rings had grooved at top dead center. So I had to bore it .20 over with new piston & rings. Done a valve job with new seals.. Clean the carbs, covered the wire harness with heat shrink, new electronic ignition, new key switch, new battery, new tires and all new cables and seat cover. and a lot of polish work. I have put about 1500 miles on the bike.it could use a new seal behind the sprocket chain it will drop a few drops of oil over the winter. 8050 original miles, This Bike is AWESOME, runs through the gears like a new Bike. The tank had a leak and I had it welded up so the tank needs a new paint job.. PLZ call 606-596-0149. This bike will NOT disappoint you.. ask for Bopper.. $500 (non refundable) immediate payment with pay pal.. Cash in hand when it is picked up. you have two weeks to pick it up or you lose your $500.. NO WARRANTY SOLD AS IS...

Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Back in 1997, an unusual motorcycle appeared on the front page of the Bristol Evening Post. Unable to afford a costly traditional sidecar, bus driver Alan Iles of Bedminster opted to build his own, using a bathtub. Twelve years later, the 1959 650cc BSA is still going and has been ridden all over Europe to help raise money for Cancer research and various charities, for which he has raised thousands of British pounds.
