Bimota DB5 description

Bimota Sebulba 1100

For Sale the first Cafe Racer Special from the

Progetto Sebulba - Haute Couture for Cafe Racers

"A unique machine, result of a huge passion, desire for excellence and hard work.
The Bimota DB5 "Sebulba" is born with the goal of building a classic bike with the state of the art components, blending the old school with performance. The realization is by BRT Prototypes and the owner Andrea Dacunto, who participated actively, following the development of the project in all its phases. The all-aluminum bodywork was produced by Metal Bike Garage while the painting is by Buz Design. The bike has been built around a Bimota DB5 frame and swingarm who have been stripped of all the fairing connections. The rear subframe is from a Triumph 1050, adapted to the new tail. The magnesium wheels are Marchesini and host Breaking discs (320 mm. the front and 210 mm rear). The rear shock is Double System while the front fork is a Marzocchi 50 mm with diblock calipers by Discacciati billet. The triple clamps, the Discacciati master cylinder and clutch pump are billet as well. The braided lines are covered with thermo shrinking tubes. The front and rear fenders as the plate holder are handmade components. The bespoke seat was produced by Teknoselle. The analogic gauge is by Autometer with shifterlight. The custom bodies of the LED headlights are billet. The engine is a Ducati 1100 Hypermotard with lightened flywheel, CNC pulleys, dedicated ignition timing and STM slipper clutch. The electrical system is customized from an Hypermotard one. The exhaust required a thermal insulation bandage. A titanic work for a real one of a kind bike."

Inevitably award winner in its category at Low RIde Bike Show 2013 (Motodays. Rome 2013).

The Bike is celebrated on several international Magazines and Community Blogs:
