Bobber Bobber description

Up for auction is my custom built 2009 Bobber. I purchased all of the parts during a long deployment to Iraq and assembled the bike upon my return in 2009. I live in Ohio and the bike is located at my fathers in Colorado so I have not had time to ride it and it is a shame for it to sit, hopefully someone will win and it can finally be used the way in which it was intended.

The frame is a Kraft Tech rigid 30 degree rake with 0 stretch. Power comes from a brand new 80 ci Harley Davidson crate engine transferred to a Ultima 3.35" street style open primary drive, connected to a Ultima 6 speed transmission. With a belt final dive power delivery is very smooth and there is never a greasy chain to worry about. The wheels are 40 spoke with a 21" front  wrapped in an Avon "Speedmaster" and a 16" rear with vintage whitewall. I have forgotten what brand the rear tire is, but both front and rear tires are new. The front end is a factory replacement 41mm Harley Davidson Wideglide front end with 12" "Ape's" and a single disc brake set up.

The bike rides, shifts, and stops as it should. You will not be disappointed. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is also for sale locally. Thank you for looking.

Steve McQueen’s Von Dutch Customized Bikes to be Auctioned Tomorrow

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Here’s an opportunity to own motorcycles associated with Steve McQueen and Von Dutch - need we say more? Get your credit cards out because tomorrow, January 9, 2014, will see a 1923 Indian Big Chief with Princess Sidecar owned by McQueen and fully restored by Von Dutch put on the auction block at the Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction. Previously sold at the Steve McQueen Estate Sale in Las Vegas in 1984, the 74cu (1200cc) Indian is “capable of reaching speeds of 90mph.” If McQueen’s coolness factor isn’t enough, having the notoriety of Von Dutch’s restoration is the icing on the cake.
