Buell EBR 1190RX description
This is a rare 1190RX in the best color available for keeping a low profile and not drawing too much attention from the law. A visually beautiful bike. It has a very eager motor. For a sport bike it is relatively comfortable with great ergonomics for me (6ft/175lbs). I found it to be more comfortable than the current R1 or Panagale. I bought it new this spring. I love the way this bike works so much the I just bought a 2013 RS which is very similar but with more carbon fiber, magnesium, etc and several times the price. This RX is actually a better all-around street bike. It has 21 level variable traction control which is a great asset on a bike this powerful.
I am a mature (gray hair) retired successful racer/mechanic and take very good care of my bikes. I have owned well over 100. I have broken this bike in properly and by the book. It is relatively quiet with the stock exhaust so you can crank on it a bit without attracting attention for half a mile around you which is nice. An extremely busy work schedule has severely limited the time that I have to ride. I don't even have 600 miles on it yet. Erik Buell is a brilliant engineer, designer and racer at heart. His passion is obvious. Please see the photos. The only imperfection is the rear tire has a simple puncture from a small nail which has been plugged and permanently repaired from the inside so good to go for the life of the tire. It has always been garaged and pampered. I am only selling due to buying the 1190RS and having too many bikes too little time to ride. Here is a great opportunity to get a contemporary, low production superbike with extremely low miles in near new condition for less than 1/2 of the original price. If you take good care of it and don't put a lot of miles on, you could probably ride it for a couple of years and sell it for similar money as opposed to buying new and taking a huge loss when it comes time to sell. Retail was $18,995... As I understand it there were something around 400 2014 RX's made. This is #76 in the production. I thought the VIN was a good one for a America's Superbike. This is a 50 state bike. I am still riding it every so often so it may have a few more miles on it. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. If local you are completely welcome to come and take a look. Good luck bidding! Drew |
