I bought it with the front end converted to a firebolt and I changed it back to a lightning. all the parts are in terrific condition and work great. nothing bent or broken. headlamps work. turn signals work and tripletree has a working keyed ignition. the firebolt front brakeline and clutch cable are in good order. have any questions just call. AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015
Wed, 04 Dec 2013AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.
Erik Buell Racing Streetbike Peers Out of the Darkness with LED Headlight
Fri, 09 Aug 2013Erik Buell Racing released another teaser image of its upcoming new production streetbike, revealing a new headlight design with twin LEDs. The teaser image (see the full image below) is thick with shadows so we can’t see very much else beyond the front tire, part of an upside-down fork and a glint of a brake lever. The headlight however is the clear focal point of the photograph.
2011 AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick
Tue, 06 Sep 2011Danny Eslick won his second career AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship, adding another #1 plate to the one he won in 2009. The Geico Powersports RMR Suzuki GSX-R600 rider won three races this season and added another five podium finishes to win the title by a 275-256 margin over Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin. Eslick clinched the title after finishing sixth in the first race of the 2011 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
