Buell Lightning description

For sale is my 2003 Buell Lightning XB9S which has never been raced, dropped, or wrecked. It was purchased from the original owner in March 2016 but was never ridden due to a combination of work travel and family issues, I will be changing (military) station in the coming month and will not be able to take it with me.

The bike is in as excellent condition as it can be for a bike that has seen only 3647 miles since it was purchased. You are welcome to see it for yourself. It was last serviced upon purchase at the Harley-Davidson dealership used by the original owner. All parts on it are OEM, including the left foot peg that was broken in transit but has yet to be replaced with factory-original replacement (which is my possession). Included with the bike will also be a second seat (the OEM version found on the XB9Scg), a Xena XX15-SS disc alarm, battery charger, and Cortech seat bag. The tires have all to most of their tread left, and the engine will turn over with no hesitation. Again, the bike is like new and I would not be selling it were it not for my PCS.

The owners manual is available as a PDF and can be sent provided I receive an email address. I have an Arai Vector 2 Nakasuga helmet in XL that is brand new and in its box - never worn or sized for that matter; the same applies to a pair of black Alpinestars S-MX 5 riding boots in size US8/EU42. I have a pair of Icon Pursuit (perforated) black leather gloves that were only used during the motorcycle endorsement class that I took (Note: the class was provided motorcycles.) The gloves can be provided at no charge, but the helmet and boots can be sold for an additional $500. (I mention these only for the sake of giving the buyer an opportunity, but by no means is their purchase compulsory.)

Note that the motorcycle is also listed locally for the "buy it now" price shown above. Feel free to reach me at your convenience. I'll gladly entertain any questions, viewing requests, and reasonable offers. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

EBR First American Sportbike To Score Points In WSBK, Makes History

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

The EBR 1190RX had its best finish to date in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WSBK) series during the only US round at Laguna Seca in Salinas, Calif., this past weekend. In an exciting twist, the wild card entry of Larry Pegram running the #72 Foremost Insurance/EBR/AMSOIL/Hero entry garnered a 14th place finish in the second race, earning the first-ever WSBK points for an American motorcycle manufacturer.  [In actuality, Pegram's EBR crossed the line in 16th place. However, the two Bimota BB3 entries who finished eighth and ninth with riders Ayrton Badovini and Christian Iddon, respectively, have had their finishes nullified all season because Bimota has not met the FIM's homologation requirements.

All-American Team Entered For 2014 Isle Of Man TT

Fri, 16 May 2014

Two EBR1190RS race bikes will compete in this year’s Isle of Man TT. This is historic in itself, as never has a Buell motorcycle competed on the famed course. Making the moment more special is the fact both pilots are also Americans: TT veteran, and 2010 TT Zero race winner Mark Miller, and relative newcomer to the TT, Brandon Cretu.
