Imagine a dirt-tracker tuned to tame the street. The Buell Lightning XB9S offers outstanding agility, thanks to an ultra-short 52-inch wheelbase, 21-degree head angle and 52 percent front-wheel weight bias. The ergonomics are upright and comfortable, with wide, flat handlebars for better leverage in turns. The flyscreen is mounted close to the handlebars to resemble a numberplate. Simplicity and functionality is the name of the game.

Cory West To Race EBR 1190RX At Sonoma Round Of Superbike Shootout

Erik Buell Racing (EBR) has announced it will partner with K&L Supply to enter the #13 EBR 1190 with Cory West in the Sonoma round of the Superbike Shootout series this coming weekend, May 3-4. “EBR is very excited with this new opportunity to run the EBR 1190 in front of the race fans. We had commitments that made it impossible to attend the first Superbike Shootout round in Fontana, but with K&L Supply adding their support we were able to make a rush trip from our test in Louisiana last weekend to the beautiful Sonoma Raceway track in Sonoma, California,” announced Erik Buell, founder of EBR.

Erik Buell Racing Teases 1190RX Production Model

Erik Buell Racing released a photograph on its Facebook page teasing a new streetbike expected to be called the 1190RX. Official details are sparse at the moment, but the new EBR 1190RX is expected to be a street-legal version of the 1190RS racebike, as the image (see the full version below) sports a pillion seat and pegs, mirrors, lighting and license plate holder. The engine is expected to be based on the 1190cc liquid-cooled V-Twin equipped on the RS.
