Big Bear Choppers Introducing the Under 20k Bear Bones

Big Bear Choppers (BBC), the manufacturer on the Mountain is going back to its roots “A Chicken in every pot, A Chopper in every driveway” by answering the call for a high quality no nonsense motorcycle with the same top quality components you expect from Big Bear Choppers at an amazing $19,500 price tag with the addition of the new Bear Bones to its 2010 lineup. Now available worldwide the Bear Bones was first introduced at European Bike week in FAAK A SEE Austria in September. Paul Teutul Sr. from OCC, once again finds himself in the spotlight, this time it’s for building the worlds first totally green custom motorcycle that was commissioned by Siemens.  Some features of the bike include: a clutch-less transmission, 27-horsepower engine and a top speed of 100 mph.  You can plug the bike into a standard 110-volt plug, takes 5 hours to fully charge and has a 60 mile range on a full charge. The Siemens Smart Chopper will go on tour this year to help promote green technology and will be auctioned off for charity at some point next year.

Natural Habitats

SAM Christmas has been a professional photographer for the last 3 years and is the man behind Natural Habitats, a collection of photos covering the growing UK custom scene, showing bikes and their builders at home.    Sam's clients include the likes of Honda, Dainese, Google, Polo Jeans and Edwin denim but Natural Habitats is a personal project that took one and a half years to complete. I got to meet Sam when the exhibition opened in Shoreditch on Thursday evening.
