Established and co-founded by Nick Barbaro and Louis Black in 1981, The Austin Chronicle is the city's very own alternative news weekly and has been the staple of our unique cultural scene for over 30 years! The Press Kit Collection has been archivally stored and maintained as they originally arrived to the newspaper for review. As such, the condition of the kits varies. Some were used for publication, and thus have markups from the paper staff, others remain unopened and in pristine condition. We'll do our best to describe these elements as we run across them. Now, after more than 30 years, we hope to share this wonderful collection with fans and enthusiasts around the world.
