"Movie Poster" is included in the title of this auction (for easy locating by collectors) but please be aware this is a movie pressbook.

Pressbooks were sent only to theater owners to promote and advertise the movie and are extremely rare especially without cuts.This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room. When purchasing pressbooks, remember that many were stored in the basements and attics of theaters, and could be damp or marked. I have never added to my collection any pressbooks that were not in very good condition. Please note that these images were all scanned, so you have a perfect example of what you are getting. Some pressbooks have thinner pages and the scanner with the very bright light often will pick up the print on the other side, so please keep that in mind when looking at the photos, this does not show when looking at the page.

UNCUT Columbia pressbook for "JACK McCALL DESPERADO" starring George Montgomery, Angela Stevens, James Seay

Includes ad mats (what theaters used for newspaper advertisements, usually many different styles), pages of original publicity stories, pictures of all of the film's posters, promotions with rare studio photos, publicity stills (stills and photos are PART OF THE PRESSBOOK, not separate) and much more.

This pressbook has been folded in the past but has been sitting under a heavy pile of pressbooks and has flattened out quite nicely.

This pressbook is in great condition. There is a slight whited area in the red on the cover on the left side near the middle, it shows in the scan, very slight. The numbers 53-31 have been written on the bottom right hand corner (see cover scan). This was done by the National Screen Service (the company that sent these to theaters to promote the film) who stamped or wrote these numbers on their material in order to file it. What is means is that this was released in 1953 and it was the 31st movie of the year.
