Ducati 848 description

I am the second owner of the bike and I purchased it with 200 miles on it.  The bike has no mechanical issues and is ready to ride.  I have the title in hand. I have installed a fender eliminator kit, different levers, k&n filter and wind screen.  I also have a solo seat cover. Press release from 848 Challenge: MSVR and Ducati UK are delighted to announce a joint partnership for the 2013 season as the Ducati 848 Challenge becomes an established feature of the British Superbike Championship. For the first time, the series comes under the organisation of MSVR with the full support of Ducati UK. The prestigious one make series has produced exhilarating racing in the past three seasons with average grid sizes of 30 riders and is expected to crown a third different champion this year as riders compete on a level playing field running equal Ducati 848 machinery.

I was both nervous and excited for my first ever reverse direction track day last week at Knockhill. From rushing downhill into the left hand off camber hairpin to sweeping up onto the start/finish, nothing bears any resemblance to riding round clockwise. I actually raced my 350LC in the opposite direction in 1982 but it still took a few laps to get my head round what essentially is a brand new track for Scotland.

Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.
