French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Ducati to Defend Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Crown [Video]

Ducati North America announced it will return to Colorado to defend its title in the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Ducati riders have won the two previous years in the 1205cc motorcycle class with the Multistrada 1200, and the winning riders will be back with Ducati for 2012. Carlin Dunne, the 2011 1205cc class winner and the Hill Climb’s motorcycle class record holder will be joined by 2010 class winner and six-time overall Pikes Peak winner Greg Tracy to ride Ducati Multistrada 1200s prepped by the Spider Grips team for the July 8 event.

Rossi goes karting with racing mates

REIGNING MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has been out on four wheels again - this time joining his motorcycle racing buddies at Jeepers Kart track, Cattolica.The nine-time world champ, who recently announced he is to race for Ducati from 2011, was joined by Marco Simoncelli, Andrea Iannone and Mattia Pasini at the karting venue.Rossi, an accomplished racing driver, turned down an offer to move to Ferrari F1 in 2011, after impressing team bosses when he drove the squad's 2009 car in Spain.
