Ducati Multistrada tech info
Ducati Multistrada description
For the uninitiated, the Multistrada is a sport touring bike like only Ducati can do. The Pikes Peak version was made to commemorate Ducati's dominant performance at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The Multistrada still holds the record for fastest time to this day and was the first motorcycle to break the 10min mark. With all that being said, this is not a race bike. Its a sport touring bike with a gorgeous paint scheme and a lot of carbon fiber. When I purchased this bike I wanted a bike that I could comfortably carry luggage and a passenger while still keeping some sport feel. It definitely hit those marks and more. Even though its only been 2k miles theyve been trouble free and very enjoyable. I have tried taking it on improved roads and its worked pretty well especially with the traction control but I wouldnt venture too far off the beaten path. It still has that touring bike weight to it. The easiest way to describe this bike would be a comfortable couch with a superbike engine under it. You have great upright visibility, quality brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, ABS, traction control, and theres plenty left to bring luggage and a partner with you. Theres some small scratches on the right side mirror cover and crash bars on the right from a parking lot drop. Otherwise its in great condition. Always garage stored. MWR Air Filters Claim Amazing Power Improvement
Thu, 09 Jan 2014From the News That Sounds Too Good To Be True But, Boy, Do We Hope It Is Department, MWR Air Filters wants riders to know that its MWR High Efficiency Air Filters are breaking new ground in air filtration technology. While the company’s name might not be commonplace among performance oriented riders – yet – some pretty big names are using MWR filters even though the company doesn’t pay sponsorship dollars. According to MWR’s press release, “the reigning WSBK champion, Tom Sykes uses MWR Air Filters in his Kawasaki ZX10R.” Also, 17 riders at the Isle of Man TT were running with MWR filters.
2014 WSBK – Sepang Results
Mon, 09 Jun 2014The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.
1199 TerraCorsa
Fri, 25 Oct 2013Looking like something from Mission Impossible II, this 1199 Panigale S has been given the off-road treatment by MotoCorsa, a Ducati dealer based across the pond in Portland. The bike features a Desert Storm paint job, a stock 1199 exhaust and a custom crash guard. MotoCorsa’s General Manager Arun Sharma said that they “dropped the forks as low as we could in the triple and raised the shock’s ride height as much as possible; the idea being to max out the ground clearance.”“There’s all these guys saying ‘that’s so stupid’ or ‘why would you ruin a good bike like that?’ Well, why not just have some fun and be silly?”The bike’s been taken on a 1200 mile adventure and apparently performed faultlessly across all kinds of terrain. MotoCorsa plan to make another video where the bike is taken off-road again, then driven into the garage before being prepared for a track day.
