New for 2002, the ST4s bristles with our best racing-derived components combined with all day riding comfort. Start with the awesome 117 horsepower Superbike 996cc Desmo 4 valve engine, liquid cooling, fuel injection, 11.5:1 compression, 50mm throttle bodies and a six-speed transmission. Then add the latest Showa fully adjustable upside-down forks with low friction Titanium-Nitride (TiN) treatment, an incredible Öhlins remote reservoir shock and a new aluminum rear swingarm. The result is a bike that is as capable on the racetrack as it is on the street. The performance approach of the ST4s is further confirmed with a carbon fiber rear fender, sticky competition tires, and lightweight Marchesini wheels. And just to make sure that your ST4s remains yours, an anti-theft “immobilizer” system, activated by a “smart key,” prevents anyone but you from starting your bike. Ducati Restructures Presence in India, Cutting Ties with Distributor Precision Motor
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Ducati announced it is ending its relationship with importer Precision Motor and setting up its own operations in India. Precision Motors has been Ducati’s official importer since 2008, but the relationship has soured recently with reports of poor customer service and delays in deliveries. Ducati will now begin establishing its own dealer network in India, likely relying on the resources of parent company Audi and other Volkswagen Group brands.
Piaggio Opening New Design Center in US
Wed, 14 Mar 2012Piaggio announced it is opening a new design center in Pasadena, Calif., to be headed by Aprilia RSV4 designer Miguel Galluzzi. Roberto Colaninno, chairman and chief executive officer of the Piaggio Group, announced plans for the new Advanced Design Center at a dealer convention for the Piaggio Group Americas in Miami, Fla. At the moment, North American customers usually have to wait a little longer before they receive new Piaggio models, with most models arriving on these shores months after they are available in Europe.

The Ducati Greetings Contest is looking for contestants to design Ducati’s annual holiday greeting card. The winner will take home a top prize of 1,000 euros and the winning card will be used all over the world.
