Ducati Superbike description

Bike is located in Newport Beach, CA and is available for pickup or shipping.

This classic and collectable low-mileage superbike is up for sale. Clean title, registered in California until March 2017.

The Mono tail, Termignoni carbon fiber mufflers and full-floating stainless steel front brake rotors hint at a more aggressive nature than the stock bike; not to mention the adjustable steering. The engine has been tuned with a Power Commander III on the dyno and feels very responsive when properly working (refer below for explanation.) Ducati Performance EPROM. Biposto ECU. The instant torque and high rpm power-hit make this famous Ducati model a thrill to ride.

Maintenance-wise, here are the things that have been done recently:

New battery, DP oil filter (have receipt), Motul 10W-40 300V/full-synth (have receipt), brake and clutch levers (OE adjustable), stator, chain sliders, fairing hardware and grips. The tires are in almost new condition and the clutch has been upgraded to a Barnett aluminum basket with new plates. All fluids have been replaced including the hydraulic fluid and coolant. Additionally, the rear brake master cylinder and caliper were replaced.

This is what I personally know about the bike:

New Dunlop Q3 Sportmax front and rear purchased about 1 month ago. There is about 1k miles on it, rear is 190/55/ZR17 (have receipt)

Rear brake must be bled or pads replaced

The decals on the front side cowls are not original

Notice the right-side (if you're sitting on the bike) picture before the accident and the post-accident picture which shows the fairing damage. Please do not think this bike is coming with the undamaged fairing.

There is some loss of power however I'm not sure exactly why. I have a new project so I am not interested in spending more time and money into this bike. Therefore, this is being sold as-is.

The ride and handling on this Ducati 916 are legendary. The suspension and brakes are up to hard riding while the engine performance is more than enough for street use. Overall, this was one of Ducati's masterpieces; a balanced, powerful motorcycle that won't go down in value.

Ducati Multistrada will increase the "cubes"

Tue, 11 Jul 2017

In the fall, at the EICMA Milan Motor Show, an updated tourenduro with an engine from the XDiavel muscle bike will appear in the beams of spotlights. According to preliminary data, the bike will replace the 1198.4cc L-twin Testastretta with a 1262cc Testastretta borrowed from the XDiavel. The difference in output between these two engines is negligible - with an identical power of 152 hp.

2012 Ducati Streetfighter 848 Spied

Mon, 08 Aug 2011

A photograph has emerged of what is reported to be a new, smaller version of the  Ducati Streetfighter featuring the company’s 848 engine. The photograph, posted by a user on the Ducati.ms forum, was reportedly snapped outside Ducati’s factory in Bologna. The banana yellow motorcycle sports a five-bolt hub on the rear wheel, similar to the Ducati 848EVO, whereas the current 1098cc Streetfighter has a six-bolt rear hub (pictured below from our 2009 Ducati Streetfighter review).
