Ducati Superbike description

2001 Ducati 748 Biposto with 4242 Org. miles (time capsule)
Collector Quality

(Re listing due to dead beat ebayer ... If you can't come up with the money, don't bid!)

Purchased New in April 2002 as a leftover
These bikes were selling for $13,500 NEW (I basically broke the bike in)
First stage 621 miles between 6500-7000 RPM, Second stage 1553 miles up to 8000 RPM
I am very meticulous with this bike and breaking it in took some discipline but it was done right, and therefore doesn't smoke as you may have seen some do. This is also a fuel injected bike.
I am the orginal ADULT owner, 100% stock unmolested, never down... with all up to date services
2002 I believe was the last year for this Body style that will never get old, Its just truely beautiful
This is Showroom condition, always garaged and covered... No paint fade! (this is that one)
No hacking or cutting up of rear fender, Has original build stickers and yellow wax torque markings still on bolts from dealer. I would only use 1 key so as to not scratch the gas tank when starting the bike...Comes with both front and rear stands and owners manual.

This bike is by no means your average Ducati, such it won't sell for the average price!
It's time for it to go and I know that I'm asking a very realistic and fair price. It's not for everyone, and I understand it's for someone who can appreciate the legacy and heritage that Ducati brings. If you want to offer 5grand than go find another with 10-20 thousand miles on it.
It would be hard pressed to find another bike cleaner... The next owner will not be disappointed in the prestige and performance of this icon.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.

848 Challenge returns to Brands

Tue, 10 Apr 2012

The Ducati 848 Challenge returns for another season of fast and furious action as the series opens this Easter weekend at Brands Hatch at the start of the British Superbike Championship.   The 848 Challenge was the talk of the BSB paddock last year due to the close and exciting racing that transfixed audiences throughout the eight rounds as every one of the sixteen races went down to the wire.   The successful format of the Ducati 848 Challenge continues with eight rounds and sixteen races, including six British Superbike rounds and two overseas rounds.

Ducati Forms New Brazilian Subsidiary After Collapse of Importer Izzo

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

Ducati announced the start of a new wholly-owned subsidiary for the Brazilian market after its former importing partner, the Izzo Group, ceased operations. The Izzo Group shut itself down earlier this month following a slow decline. At one point, the Izzo Group was one of Brazil’s largest motorcycle importers, with a list of manufacturers including Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Husqvarna, MV Agusta, Triumph and Zero.
