Ducati Superbike description

2007 Ducati Superbike 1098, Xerox graphics round out this awesome 1098! Arrow exhaust, tinted shield, slipper clutch, more! Hot bike! - RACING SOUL The 1098 immediately stands out for its determined and aggressive stance. Every detail insists that performance is paramount. Traditional Ducati features such as a high set tail section, under-tail exhaust, single-sided swingarm, narrow profile and a rock-solid front end all emphasize the 1098’s aerodynamics and handling capabilities. Add to this a powerful Testastretta Evoluzione engine and you have a Ducati that looks like its moving even when its standing still. The 1098 is a milestone both for Ducati and production sportbikes in general. It is the first production bike to feature Brembo Monobloc calipers, an onboard data-logging system and new smart technology for the single-sided swingarm. Oval throttle bodies and a new dashboard are innovations direct from Ducatis MotoGP effort and appear on a road-going sportbike for the first time ever with the 1098. Simply put, the 1098 has a racing soul. SATISFYING ALL THE SENSES The throaty roar of the twin under-seat exhausts are synchronized with the howl of the elliptical throttle bodies providing a fitting fanfare for the new 1098 Testastretta Evoluzione engine. The huge 104 mm bore and all-new cylinder head design unite to produce an awesome 160 horsepower and an arm-wrenching 90+ foot pounds of torque. Developed together with Ducati Corse, the 1098 is a masterpiece of incredible performance and innovation. MCC Motor Cycle Center serves Chicago, Illinois and all of the Chicagoland area. The original Ducati Diavel?

Fri, 26 Nov 2010

Only a select number of people know how long Ducati have been working on the Diavel. Let's guess 3 years. Funny then, that I came across this interesting Ducati custom on t'interweb yesterday.

Not everyone loves Rossi

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

The town of Casinina is only a few miles away from Tavullia, where Valentino Rossi grew up. Judging by these T-Shirts, not everyone who's Italian or into their Ducatis loves Mr Rossi by default. The T-shirt says: 'For the love of god, go!'.

848 Challenge heads to Holland

Thu, 12 May 2011

This weekend sees riders and teams heading across the North Sea to the famous Assen TT circuit for Round 2 of the Rapid Solicitors Ducati 848 Challenge. After two stunning opening races at Brands Hatch BSB three weeks ago, the expectation is that the racing will be similarly closely fought and exciting at the historical home of bike racing. Leon Morris left Brands with a double win, continuing his strong form from last season and will no doubt be the man to beat in Assen, while Darren Fry, the current Champion, will hope for better luck this weekend after breaking his coccyx at Brands Hatch in a heavy crash. But the Buildbase/JHP Ducati team-mates will be wary of the challenge from Mike’Spike’ Edwards (MSKWorks.com), who will be riding his upgraded Ducati 848EVO for the first time this weekend, and Mark Cheetham (Shorrocks Motorcycles) and Kenny Gilbertson (Art of Racing/Boast Plumbing) who were the main challengers for podium finishes three weeks ago.
