"After years of in-line 4s, This Ducati V-twin air-cooled comes with much satisfaction. There's some great twin engines out there, but without the low maintenance of an Italian bike. The bottom line is, you get what you want, and you pay for it. The Ducati motorcycles are great motorcycles, respected by youths and advanced riders. All of the sport bikes that new riders lust after are equipped with this High-rpm capability (redlines vary between 11K and 16K rpm), designed to produce peak power at very high rpms and increasing power as the throttle is opened. Ducati is recalling the 2011-2012 Monster 1100 EVO because of potential cracks developing on the rear wheel spokes. The affected units have rear wheels labeled “DU6-RR“. Rims with the code “DU6N-RR” are not included in the recall campaign.
