This is a custom built with tear drop gas tank,S&S carb,straight pipes Harley dyna wide glide with custom handle bars.I bought it for my wife 3 years ago and we have had 2 more kids since i bought this so she has never ridden it and probably will not.I know the previous owner had shown me over $4000 in receipts to all the work he has had done to it,nothing motor wise has been done to my knowledge,but it is fast and loud! Sounds great,looks good just one scratch on front fender. It is not new it is used and for my price its a great deal,you cant get a decnt sportster for this much.Very minor work neede such as 2 new tires a front brake caliper rebuilt or replaced,rebuild kit is like $20 here on ebay or just replace it for $175 on ebay as well.Also need a spacer or bushing on rear axle i cant remember which,its been 3 years. I can start it and let you hear it but do not recommend driving as is,BUT it IS a BEAUTIFUL,great sounding bike for the $.Just to nice of a bike to be used as a shelf or dust magnet in my overfilled garage.My price is FAIR and i will not negotiate! This is a local pickup only but feel free to have Uship or someone pick it up if you are out of state.This bike is being sold as is where is with NO warranty.NON refundable Deposit of $500 IS DUE within 24 hours of auction end and remaining balance via paypal or cash in person only! ALSO I FORGOT, this has forward controls. AND if the bidding hits $5500 i will throw in all kinds of extras such as a second seat for this bike i paid $400 for.a set of fatboy rims,and also a sissy bar, extra switch housing etc.. i have TONS of stuff for this bike i bought planning on doing to it just never did. BUT if it does NOT hit $5500 i keep the extras and will sell separately. I WILL ONLY LIST THIS ONCE!! When in Rome for Harley’s 110th
Mon, 03 Jun 2013In addition to all the other goings-on scheduled for Harley-Davidson’s 110th celebration in Rome, Italy, Pirelli and LowRide magazine are teaming up to bring Italian Motor Company enthusiasts even more. During the June 13-16 celebration Pirelli is setting up shop at Lido di Ostia, transforming the Rome Nautical Club in to the Pirelli Clubhouse for this occasion. Guests at the Pirelli Clubhouse can attend tattooing sessions, where images created by Fashion Tattoo Studio will be imprinted on a range of tires. For those who want to try the thrills of driving a racing car through iconic racetracks around the world, the Formula 1 simulator will be available throughout the four-day celebration. Also on show is the new summer collection of Pzero clothing. Pirelli technicians will hold product workshops illustrating the importance of tires on custom motorcycles.
H-D Confirms Road Glide Dump
Fri, 26 Jul 2013In a conference call with investors yesterday, Harley-Davidson Inc. admitted the rumors are true: the Motor Company is dropping the Road Glide. According to the Milwaukee Business Journal, during the investor call Thursday discussing second-quarter results Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) Senior Vice President and CFO John Olin publicly confirmed the previously reported model dump to the Motor Company’s Touring lineup.
James Cameron’s New Movie “Avatar” to use “Motorcycle Riding Badass” template?
Thu, 20 Aug 2009James Cameron, the genius behind such movies as Aliens, Terminator 1 and 2, True Lies, and The Abyss, has a new movie coming out this fall. “Avatar”, a sci-fi action movie, stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, all of whom can be seen in the new pictures released yesterday by the studio. In one of the images we see Sam Worthington wearing a Harley-Davidson shirt and sitting in a bar. Is this the story of an average tough guy who rides motorcycles and plays pool in bars, turned action hero who saves mankind? Does Sam’s character, “Jake Sully”, ever get on a motorcycle in the movie or just shows his Harley support by wearing the T-shirt?
